‘Blue Rush’ Podcast Episode 128: Will Giants End Up Making Playoffs After Tie With Commanders?

Ties suck.

The NFL needs to go back to 15-minute overtimes or figure out a way to not have games end in a tie. It’s a disservice to the fans, the players and everyone involved.

With that said, the Giants can’t buy a victory right now. They are a downward spiral with still plenty of key injuries. But, they are still in a playoff spot. They still control their own destiny.

To react to the strange 20-20 finish against the Commanders, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz and Brandon London.

“Blue Rush” Podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Brandon London & Paul Schwartz:

  • REACTING TO A TIE: It feels like a loss. So many missed opportunities. Weren’t cheers or boos from the crowd. Very odd feeling for the players. Felt like a loss because you are used to winning games like that this season. Good thing is the tie could help them in the end with one less loss then Commanders/Seahawks.
  • DJ/SAQUON/OFFENSE: Daniel Jones played great. This game doesn’t fall on him. The Giants have shown that they can’t win when Saquon Barkley isn’t productive. Taunting penalty was brutal. Can not happen.
  • DEFENSE: They clearly miss a lot of their injured players. If Adoree’ Jackson or Xavier McKinney is playing in that game, they probably win.
  • TWEETS: Giants fans vent their frustrations and we read the tweets. Many fans thought the playcalling was too conservative. Will they make the playoffs? Is it now time to be concerned after a three-game winless streak?
