Stanley Cup or bust.

Anything less for these Rangers would be a disappointment.

Chris Drury proved they are all-in for a championship.

If acquiring Vladimir Tarasenko and Tyler Motte wasn’t enough, they got the icing on the cake trading for Patrick Kane.

They went out and got one of the best players of the generation.

Kane is a three-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the best postseason players we have seen.

To react to the Rangers trading for Kane, we bring you a new episode of “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast with the great Larry Brooks, Andrew Harts and me.

Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Jake Brown, Andrew Harts & Larry Brooks:

  • KANE ON BROADWAY: This has seemed inevitable for the last year to trade for Kane to play alongside Artemi Panarin. The Rangers have solidified their top six. It is not a perfect team, but this is better than last year’s team.
  • CHRIS DRURY: They gave up value for Tarasenko. Kane was in control so it ended up turning into draft picks. They were able to get Martin St. Louis in similar way, but they had to give up much more in that trade than this one.
  • PLAYOFF GRIND/STANLEY CUP OR BUST: These are the Rockstar Rangers. There are six capable teams of winning a Stanley Cup in the Eastern Conference. The other top teams in the East also made big trades.
  • MILLER SUSPENSION: Larry believes it was the appropriate suspension with him getting three games. There is no room for that. If it was an accident, it was a disgusting accident.
  • RYAN LINDGREN: What’s the hurry? Don’t expect the Rangers to rush him back. They will be short Miller and Lindgren probably for a few games. Being healthy for the playoffs is the most important thing.
  • 2023 RANGERS VS 2015 RANGERS: This is the best Rangers team since the 2015 team that lost to the Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals. That team had a disappointing ending.
