With the Rangers a week away from the finish line in the regular season and their place in the standings pretty much set, it’s getting time to shift the focus to the playoffs.

It’s no lock yet that the Blueshirts will take on the Devils in the first round.

There is still a slight chance they play the Hurricanes.

Would Rangers fans be more comfortable taking on the Devils or Hurricanes?

That’s a big question to debate this week on a new episode of “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast with Mollie Walker, the Post’s Hall of Fame columnist Larry Brooks and me.

Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Mollie Walker & Jake Brown:

  • DEVILS OR HURRICANES: Rangers fans may be rooting to take on the Hurricanes. They might match up better against them than the Devils. Mollie and the writers are hoping for the Devils to stay local and some fans may rather see that. But with the way the Hurricanes have struggled a bit of late, they could be the more ideal matchup.
  • MAILBAG QUESTIONS: Does Patrick Kane has any gas left in the tank? Will Kane, Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola all be gone after this season? What will Rangers do with their limited cap space? And many more…

  • FILIP CHYTIL: Reacting to his contract extension and why the deal makes perfect sense for both sides.
  • MAILBAG QUESTIONS: What is the Rangers best top-six combo? Kane has got to pick it up. There’s been too much focus on lineup combos. Are the days of fans calling Alexis Lafreniere a bust over? What could his next contract look like?
