Elderly man slammed to the ground in NYC subway attack

An elderly man was slammed to the ground by an attacker at a Lower Manhattan subway stop Friday, cops said.

The 89-year-old was getting up from his seat to get off a southbound 1 train at the W. Houston Street subway stop just around 2:50 p.m. when the cruel creep randomly pushed him back on the train and told him he’s not getting off, according to police and sources.

The victim was able to get off the train, which is when the attacker shoved him to the ground on the platform, sources said.

The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

A crossing guard at Varrick and W. Houston streets said she spotted the victim walking topside, holding his shoulder.

“He was conscious because he walked out and he was holding on to the shoulder,” she told The Post.

Another elderly person was also attacked in Queens at about 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.

The 86-year-old woman was shoved to the ground at 34-07 Astoria Blvd. and was treated for a cut on her head, cops said.

The attacker never said a word to her, police sources said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, cops said.

Both suspects were in the wind.
