Go, baby, go!

A stay-at-home mom is facing backlash on TikTok for claiming her 6-month-old son is potty trained.

In a clip posted in February, user @squillymama is seen sitting on the bathroom floor, holding her small and wobbly infant on a toilet seat as he apparently does his business.

The 11-second video is pushing 250,000 views.

“For the first time ever Squilly let me know he had to go to the bathroom while we were at the doctors!” the proud mom captioned the video, which she paired with the “Popular” song from “Wicked.”

“He signs [in sign language] or grunts to let me know when he has to go! Any mommas have tips on elimination communication while on the go?” she asked.

Elimination communication refers to the notion that babies naturally signal when they need to go to the bathroom. In another TikTok, the mom of one claimed that she started potty training her son when he was just 5 months old, as he started eating solid foods.

“In less than a week, all of his bowel movements were on the toilet,” the woman declared, adding that he uses the bathroom when he wakes up, after he eats, and while he gets ready for bed.

She revealed this month that at 8 months old, her son hasn’t pooped his diaper in more than two months.

Typically, kids become potty trained when they are 18 months to 3 years old.

TikTokers flooded the comments section with mixed reactions to the toilet triumph.

“He can’t even sit up himself so he’s not potty trained,” one hater insisted.

“The song says it all😳 want clout and popularity bc they herd baby grunt so they rush em 2 sit on a potty and catch the poop in potty,” another shamed the mom.

“Anyone can put their baby on a toilet and say ‘oh look my babies potty trained at 6 months’ it’s a competition between mom’s at mommy & me, terrible,” a third echoed.

“My baby is 4 months and goes to college 😬 also my dog is a singer 😬,” someone even joked.

At least one mom came to the TikToker’s defense.

“Not all the haters in the comments😳 this is pretty much how all of us were potty trained 🫣,” she wrote.

“Right 😶 insane how upset people are that we’re potty training early 😅,” she replied.
