‘Gang’s All Here’ Podcast Episode 140: Jets’ Super Bowl Aspirations Intensify After Aaron Rodgers Trade

Gang's All Here podcast

Having the Jets in the same sentence as the Super Bowl is no longer a laughing matter.

It should be taken seriously.

It’s showtime on Broadway.

The Jets and Packers finally agreed to terms to send future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to New York on Monday after months of speculation.

Rodgers will now be tasked to help lead a long-suffering Jets franchise to its first championship since 1969.

Fifty-four years is long enough.

A healthy Rodgers puts the Jets back in the postseason conversation for the first time in more than a decade when they reached the AFC Championship at the end of the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

Now, the Jets could potentially be a playoff team and even a Super Bowl contender.

What a time to be alive.

In addition to the Rodgers trade reactions, Brian Costello and I look ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft in a new episode of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast.

Tony Pauline, an NFL Draft expert at Pro Football Network and longtime Jets season ticket holder, joins us to analyze what the Jets should do with the 15th overall pick and breaks down what other prospects they should target in the draft, which begins Thursday.

Gang’s All Here Podcast with Jake Brown & Brian Costello:

  • JETS LAND RODGERS: Breaking down the blockbuster trade finally happening. Did the Jets give up too much? It’s vastly difficult to evaluate this trade right now until we see Rodgers play this season and see how the Jets do. If they make the playoffs and go on a run, then giving up the first-round pick next year won’t matter that much. The Jets are in a win-now mode.
  • JETS SUPER BOWL ASPIRATIONS: For the first time ever, Coz utters the words Jets and Super Bowl in the same sentence. It’s not a pipe dream anymore. The pieces are in place on paper for the Jets to be a top-five team in the AFC.
  • 15TH PICK: What should the Jets do with the 15th overall pick? We both agree it has got to likely be an offensive lineman. That is the Jets’ weak spot on this roster that they badly need to address to put the best possible line to block for Rodgers.
  • TONY PAULINE ON JETS NFL DRAFT PLANS: Pro Football Network NFL Draft analyst Tony Pauline joins us to break everything down when it comes to the draft. This guy knows everything and anything about all the draft prospects and gives us his list of who and what the Jets should be targeting with their picks.
