C.J. Stroud’s 2023 NFL Draft suit caused some confusion

C.J. Stroud arrived in style to the 2023 NFL Draft for night in which his football dreams came trueon Thursday night.

The quarterback’s suit went viral before he went to the Houston Texans with the No. 2 overall pick, as many were unsure if he spilled something on his outfit or if it’s the suit’s design.

Upon a closer look, Stroud sported a navy suit with intricate markings throughout his right side, along with a black tie and big jeweled necklace of the number 7 — his jersey number at Ohio State.

When he strolled to the dais to meet commissioner Rodger Goodell, he became the first Buckeyes QB to go in the top 10 in 40 years and the first Big Ten QB in the top five since Penn State’s Kerry Collins went to the Panthers in 1995

Stroud’s resume going into the draft includes a 66.3% completion rate over 3,688 yards for 41 touchdowns and six interceptions across his 2022 season.

Prior to the being picked by the Texans, Stroud has been linked to a few teams atop the draft.

Last week, it was reported that Stroud scored an 18% on the “S2” cognitive test, while top 2023 NFL Draft pick Bryce Young scored a 98% and Will Levis a 93%.

“I’m not a test-taker. I play football,” Stroud explained.

“At the end of the day, I don’t got nothing to prove to nobody, so I’m not finna sit here and say how I process football. The people who are making the picks know what I can do, so that’s all that matters to me.”
