Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos debate ‘butt thing’ on ‘Live’: ‘Would you?’

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos discussed plastic surgery during Thursday’s “Live With Kelly and Mark” episode.

Ripa, 52, brought up the popularity of butt implant reversals, prompting Consuelos, 52, to ask his wife, “Would you do something like that? Would you do the big butt thing?”

Ripa appeared confused and flipped the question back to her husband, demanding, “You tell me.”

Her new co-host awkwardly laughed it off, saying, “I don’t know.”

“I just feel like there are so many other places I’d rather put implants,” Ripa responded.

Consuelos playfully agreed with her.

However, audience members gasped loudly, taking his response as a diss.

Consuelos chimed back in and pointed a finger toward the audience, saying, “Stop it. Stop it. I didn’t say anything. I just agreed because she’s my wife.”

“Right, you agree with me no matter what,” Ripa quipped.

Although the 52-year-old has no plans to get butt implants, she is no stranger to cosmetic procedures.

In a 2022 People magazine interview, she shared her love for wrinkle-smoothing injections. “There are procedures you can have done. And then once you start talking about what you’re having done, people become very open about what they’re having done, and then you start trading doctors.”

Consuelos joined the daytime talk show after Ryan Seacrest, Ripa’s former co-host, left earlier this month.

Some fans have not been happy with the “Live With Kelly and Mark” rebrand, sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

“Painful … They NEVER say anything of substance … just fake banter!!” tweeted one person.

Another viewer added, “Bruuuutal! Last time I watch.”

The couple does not let the negative feedback affect them. Ripa told Page Six, “I had no concerns about how well he was going to do, and he really proved me right… I’m so proud of him, but I was never worried.”
