Nearly 100 motorcyclists shut down SF-Oakland Bay Bridge with rowdy bike stunts

Nearly 100 motorcyclists shut down the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge when they unleashed a rowdy “sideshow” of cycling tricks and stunts, video shows.

Drivers bound for San Francisco were forced to stop in the middle of the bridge during rush hour traffic on Sunday evening as the bikers popped wheelies and did donuts across five lanes of traffic, KTVU reported.

The dangerous performance, which happened shortly after 5 p.m., halted traffic for about two minutes before the motorcyclists moved on, California Highway Patrol said.

Video of the sideshow shows drivers getting out of their cars on the bridge to see what was happening while others blared their horns.

“The event was very quick, literally two minutes,” CHP San Francisco public information officer Mark Andrews told Fox News.

“They conducted their activities and left the scene prior to any CHP officers arriving in the area.”

No arrests were made due to how quickly the motorcyclists fled the scene.

While infrequent, this is not the first sideshow on the Bay Bridge. In February a man was arrested in connection with one.
