The new Sling TV service includes 275+ live streaming channels

What if we told you there’s a new streaming service that will let you watch hours and hours of content on over 275 live channels for no money at all, on your terms?

You’re in luck, because we are telling you that. Let us introduce you to Sling TV’s newly relaunched Freestream — an ad-supported streaming TV service that’s completely free to use. Unlike Sling TV’s paid cable-replacement streaming packages, you won’t even have to provide credit card information to start streaming.

Freestream is account-optional, but we recommend making one before you start streaming for additional perks, like creating profiles for separate users, a watchlist feature and the ability to pick up on-demand content where you left off, plus parental controls and the option to switch over to a paid Sling TV account at any time.

Now that the basics are out of the way, lets get to the part you’ve probably been waiting for: there are over 275 live channels and 41,000 on-demand titles, but what exactly can you watch on Sling Freestream?

Sling TV Freestream Channels, Programming Highlights:

When we say there’s something for everyone on Sling Freestream, we mean it.

The available channels are split into six categories:

  • News and opinion (including ABC, CBS and Cheddar)
  • Entertainment
  • Sports
  • Food, home and travel
  • International
  • Latino

Comedy lovers will get a kick out of Comedy Central Pluto, which includes shows like “Key and Peele,” “South Park,” “RENO 911!,” “Chappelle’s Show,” and “Workaholics.” Reality TV fans can get their fill with the VH1 I Love Reality Pluto channel, airing “Mob Wives,” “Basketball Wives,” “Basketball Wives LA,” “Cartel Crew,” and “Hollywood Exes.” There are also three MTV-branded channels.

Stories by AMC will air popular AMC Network titles like “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Halt and Catch Fire,” “Rectify,” “Into the Badlands,” and “Making of the Mob,” plus movies and scripted originals. You can catch even more “The Walking Dead” on a 24/7 channel dedicated solely to the universe the zombie show is set in.

Foodies can check out tips, tricks, and more with America’s Test Kitchen channel, or enjoy more entertainment-forward food content with the Bon Appetit channel, featuring personalities from their test kitchen in series like “It’s Alive with Brad,” “Test Kitchen Talks,” and “Reverse Engineering.”

Sling notes that game shows are one of their more popular genres, and Buzzr has all of the classic game shows: “Match Game,” “The Newlywed Game,” “Classic Concentration,” “Family Feud,” and “Super Password.”

Sports fans can get content from ESPN On Demand and NBA On Demand and from live streaming channels including Barstool Sports, USA Today Sports, beIN SPORTS XTRA, and even channels dedicated to poker, cornhole, billiards, rugby, and boxing.

There’s even stuff for the little ones! Nick Jr. Pluto airs popular children’s content like “Peppa Pig” and “Bubble Guppies.”

On-demand, you’ll be able to catch shows like “Hell’s Kitchen” and “South Park” among a library of 41,000 movie and TV titles.
