It’s family first for the Culpos.
Olivia Culpo expressed support Wednesday for her younger sister Sophia, who has recently been opening up to fans about her messy split from Dolphins receiver Braxton Berrios in raw social media posts.
Moments after Sophia, 26, shared a heartfelt message to her followers, in which she encouraged others who may be “struggling” to “talk about it,” the 30-year-old SI Swimsuit model — who is engaged to star 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey — replied, “Proud of you @sophiaculpo.”
Sophia, who confirmed her split from Berrios in March, alleged this week in an Instagram Q&A the breakup “didn’t end well or honestly.”
“A lot of trust was broken. But I have an amazing support system and I appreciate everyone’s love & support so, so much. This community never fails to amaze me,” Sophia said.
In a follow-up message posted Wednesday afternoon, Sophia shared how grateful she is to the community, stating in part, “I’m overwhelmed in the best way with so much love, positivity, and encouragement.”
“I don’t know why I was so ashamed to talk about it but I learned that’s a normal response to what I’m going through. Anyone who’s been lied to or cheated on can relate to feeling embarrassed, ashamed, confused and all the emotions that come with it,” she said.
“So anyone else struggling *with anything* – talk about it.”
Berrios was not named in Sophia’s post.
Sophia and Berrios first went public with their relationship in 2021.
During Berrios’ time with the Jets — which ended last month as the team sought to cut costs — Sophia was a staple at MetLife Stadium on game days.
He signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins after his release from the Jets.
Berrios has most recently been linked to social media sensation and beauty influencer Alix Earle.
