ESPN’s Mike Breen seems perplexed by dancing Mets fan

Mike Breen did not have the luxury of press row at Wednesday’s Subway Series game at Citi Field.

Instead, the Hall of Fame NBA broadcaster had a Mets fan blocking his view at the end of the nail-biter.

“Big New York Met fan [Breen] on hand to watch and see if Escobar can end this bad boy,” ESPN’s lead play-by-play baseball announcer Karl Ravech said in ninth inning.

“Or he’s confused by what the guy in front of him is doing.”

The Mets fan in front of Breen was seen standing up, knuckling his friend’s head and dancing while his team fought to secure its second win in the past 10 games.

Breen furrowed his brow as the man in front of him had no plans to sit down.

“Look at that look on his face,” the ESPN analyst David Cone said jokingly, referring to Breen’s reaction.

Breen and Mets fans finally had something to cheer about by the bottom of the 10th when Brandon Nimmo belted an RBI game-winning double to seal a 4-3 victory over the crosstown-rival Yankees.

The Mets split the Subway Series with the Yankees.

Breen, who once again was the lead play-by-play announcer for ESPN in the NBA Finals, has some free time to spend at Citi Field now after the Denver Nuggets won the title in five games over the Miami Heat.

But perhaps next time Breen will be hoping for a better with no one dancing in front of him.

The Nuggets’ Game 5 victory on June 12 was Breen’s 100th NBA Finals broadcast.

He is only the third basketball announcer on television or radio to hit that accolade.

The 2023 Finals was his 18th championship series.
