One woman’s novel approach to breaking into a banana requires no peeling at all — but you will need to use “violent” force.
TikTok user Isabella Jackson has gone viral after sharing her fruit finesse on the app, with followers of her account @campingkiwi joking that she must be a “witch” to have come up with this nutritional trick.
When Jackson wants the snack, she just “snaps” the banana in half — rather than dealing with a stubborn stem.
“It’s very efficient and not nearly as violent as everyone thinks,” she captioned the video.
After severing the fruit, she simply holds it from the bottom and squeezes the edible part out “like a glue stick.”
“You don’t actually have to peel them once you’ve snapped them,” she explained, showing how she puts pressure on the bottom, transforming the fruit into a push-pop.
Jackson claims she’s been doing this for as long as she can remember, but people are often taken aback by the method.
“What the heck did I go to college for? They didn’t teach me anything worth knowing!” one joked.
“This feels illegal to know,” added a new banana-eating insider.
“That snap is one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever seen/heard,” lauded another.
However, Jackson’s skills jostled some nerves. “It’s so violent,” one remarked. Suggested another wary TikToker, “I’m not sure that she doesn’t have some anger issues. Just saying.”
