The real action was on the sidelines during Saturday’s preseason matchup between the Chiefs and Cardinals.
Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, shared a kiss in candid photos the fitness entrepreneur posted to Instagram on Sunday.
“Year Seven,” Brittany wrote in her caption, adding red and yellow heart emojis as a nod to the Chiefs’ colors.
Mahomes has spent his entire NFL career with the Chiefs after they selected him with the 10th pick out of Texas Tech in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Brittany, who wore a pair of black shorts with Mahomes’ last name written on the back, also posed in a photo with fellow Chiefs WAGs Lyndsay Bell and Paige Buechele, the wives of tight end Blake Bell and backup quarterback Shane Buechele, respectively.
The trio matched in black shorts at the exhibition game, which took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Mahomes played the entire first quarter, completing 10 of 15 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 38-10.
Kansas City’s backup quarterbacks impressed as well.
Buechele nailed all 10 of his pass attempts for 105 yards, while also running for a 15-yard touchdown.
Blaine Gabbert completed seven of eight attempts for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
It’s unclear if the Mahomes’ two children — daughter Sterling Skye, 2, and eight-month-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III — were present at the game.
Brittany opened up about the family’s “very scary trip to the ER” with their son in a post on her Instagram Story last week.
The KC Current co-owner explained that they landed in the hospital with Bronze after discovering the infant is “highly allergic to peanuts.”
Brittany described the situation as “the scariest 30 minutes of my life.”
She also posted a photo of Bronze taking a bottle and he appeared to be in good spirits.
Mahomes and Brittany were featured last month in the Netflix docuseries “Quarterback,” where the high school sweethearts, both 27, reminisced on the early stages of their relationship.
Mahomes recalled how he landed in the friend zone with Brittany before they began dating.
The couple has enjoyed their first offseason as a family of four after welcoming Bronze in November 2022.
Mahomes and Brittany tied the knot last March in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii, where Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce served as a groomsman.
Kansas City hosts the Cleveland Browns in its final preseason game Saturday.
