You could not have drawn up a worse start to the season for the Giants.

When you thought it was bad, it got worse. It got to the point of comical when it came to errors. The game was out of hand by the end of the first quarter.

Daniel Jones was not good. He also had zero time to get rid of the football. The offensive line was atrocious. The defense made mistakes. Special teams was bad. Across the board, the Giants need to fix a lot if they want to win Sunday in Arizona.

To recap the nightmare season opener for Big Blue, it’s time for the first postgame “Blue Rush” podcast of the 2023 season with Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz and Brandon London.

Blue Rush Podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz & Brandon London:

  • GIANTS DEMOLISHED: What happened? The offensive line was a disaster. The defense didn’t get after the QB. The Cowboys didn’t have to do much at all on offense.
  • O-LINE: Justin Pugh is a name still out there if the Giants wanted to bring in help. Micah Parsons and the Cowboys’ defense obliterated the Giants’ offensive line all night. Evan Neal looked awful. He has to get better this season or the Giants will need to replace him.
  • DANIEL JONES: Should he have been taken out of the game earlier than he was? He played almost until the bitter end in the bad weather and was getting hit hard.
  • LOOKING AHEAD: They get the Cardinals next in a game they should win. They will be fine. Might be better they are traveling west.
