Jets fans can not have nice things.
Just four snaps into his Jets career, Aaron Rodgers’ season is now over.
From jubilation at MetLife Stadium and fireworks and green lighting up the building… to Rodgers getting sacked and tearing his Achilles tendon.
From deafening noise to a pin drop.
What a brutal turn of events for a Jets team with Super Bowl aspirations going into the night.
It’s now on Zach Wilson, who has struggled mightily in his Jets career the past two years.
Luckily, the Jets won the game Monday night in miraculous fashion over the Bills in overtime.
They are 1-0 and head to Dallas next Sunday to take on the 1-0 Cowboys.

- RODGERS INJURY: The feeling in the stadium shifted immediately. You could hear the difference in the crowd. Fans had mixed emotions of a serious injury to their QB, while watching an elite defense contain Josh Allen all night. You feel for Jets fans, the organization and all the people that work for the team behind the scenes. This whole offseason and season centered around Rodgers behind center and less than four minutes into the season, it ended. Just gut-wrenching stuff.
- QB1 ZACH WILSON: This is Wilson’s team to lead now. He looked OK on Monday, but not great. Is he ready to be the starter? Has he grown from the past and from learning under Rodgers in training camp and preseason? Will he be the starter the rest of the way?
- QB OPTIONS: Who will the Jets bring in? Is it a free agent veteran? Do they trade for a backup QB? Jacoby Brissett? Cooper Rush? Sign Carson Wentz? Joe Flacco?
- METLIFE TURF: They need to get grass at MetLife Stadium. The turf has been a major concern and guys have consistently got hurt there. The NFL is going to need to change this for the safety of the players. Several players have complained about it since last night on Twitter.
- THE WIN: Miraculous win for the Jets. Xavier Gipson is an incredible story and was not even sure he would make the team a few weeks ago. Now he’s a hero for his 65-yard punt return for a TD. Jordan Whitehead had a career night with three interceptions. This Jets defense is going to keep them in games.
