Saints QB Derek Carr ruled out with shoulder injury vs. Packers

Saints quarterback Derek Carr was ruled out after suffering a right shoulder injury in the second half of Sunday’s game against the Packers in Green Bay.

The 32-year-old quarterback was sacked in the third quarter by Packers defensive lineman Rashan Gary and remained down on the ground in pain.

Carr was immediately tended to by medical personnel and was able to walk off the field, making his way to the locker room.

The team first announced that Carr’s return is questionable, and backup quarterback Jameis Winston has entered the contest.

The Saints ruled out Carr early in the fourth quarter.
