Angel Reese jets off from Sky training camp to attend 2024 Met Gala on birthday

Angel Reese spent her 22nd birthday glammed up at the Met Gala in Manhattan.

The WNBA superstar was wearing a dress by 16Arlington and was the center of attention as she walked out of the Mark Hotel to flashing cameras and screaming fans on her way to the prestigious New York City event.

She posed for more than a minute for photos before boarding a black van to head over to the event.

The Mark is one of the sites being used for Met Gala attendees to prepare for one of the biggest nights of the year in fashion.

“I’m just excited to see everyone’s outfit. Everyone looks amazing here,” Reese told Women’s Wear Daily before heading to the gala. “I’m just excited. I’ve always dreamed of this moment, so being here on my 22nd birthday is amazing.”

Reese seemed awestruck at the outfit she was wearing, calling the dress by the Marco Capaldo and Federica Cavenati design duo “amazing.”

“I’m just happy to be in this,” she continued. “I look amazing and I feel beautiful and I feel sexy.”

It’s been a busy few days for the new Chicago Sky star, who took the court for the first time in a WNBA game on Friday when she suited up for preseason action.

Reese had 13 points and nine rebounds against the Minnesota Lynx in the clash.

“I’m really hard on myself so I didn’t feel like I had the best game,” Reese told WGN News. “I didn’t feel like I was super efficient, but I got to the line. But it was my first [game], so I kind of got to just kind of groove with it. Obviously, room for improvement. I feel like defensively I can be better for sure, but I feel like I did a great job just being able to step up to the plate. Start, that was my first career start, so just being able to be open-minded about everything.

“Just trying to figure out everything out on the fly.”
