Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey’s wedding day is almost here.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and the 49ers running back, who got engaged last April, are set to tie the knot in her native Rhode Island.
“The countdown is on,” Culpo, 31, told People in a recent interview. “It’s happening.”
The 2012 Miss Universe did not share the exact date, but she hinted the couple’s wedding is near in a number of social media posts.
“I’m looking forward to marrying my best friend,” Culpo said of the 27-year-old McCaffrey. “I’m very excited for that next chapter, and I feel very lucky. He’s a great guy.”
Culpo explained how wedding planning has been more exciting than stressful, and that the “people pleaser” in her just wants to make sure everyone’s happy.
“It’s just logistically complicated,” said the model, who’s been with the All-Pro running back for nearly five years. “Figuring out what everyone’s going to wear, figuring out, figuring out where everyone’s going to stay, making sure that everybody’s happy.”
“I feel like as a people pleaser, I want to make sure that everybody else is having the best time ever, but I know that everything will fall into place. I feel really good about it.”
Culpo went on to share the beauty treatments she’s experimented with leading up to her wedding day.
“One of the things that I did recently with Dr. Ellie is this, it’s called the Salmon sperm facial,” she said. “That was really interesting. Also, Dr. Diamond has this, I think it’s called the Inst Facial. It’s something. It’s PRP with exosomes, and that’s something that I had never tried before. That was really, really cool.
“Lymphatic drainage, massages. I’ve been trying to do that more often. I’ve just been trying to do all of the things that my friends tell me work.”
Culpo and McCaffrey enjoyed a pre-wedding weekend with their families last weekend, as seen in photos she shared on Instagram.
Their engagement party took place in Rhode Island last July.
Culpo previously said she spent months designing her wedding dress, but she hasn’t revealed any details.
During an Instagram Q&A in March, Culpo gushed that she wanted the couple’s toy goldendoodle, Oliver Sprinkles, to be the ring bearer, adding at the time, “tbd lol.”
The soon-to-be husband and wife also enjoyed a wedding cake tasting that month in Rhode Island.
As for the guest list? It’s unclear who exactly will be in attendance, though the couple has many celebrity friends, including McCaffrey’s teammates.
“Guest list is by FAR the hardest part,” Culpo said in March. “A lot of venues have restrictions on # of ppl [people].”
Culpo celebrated her bachelorette party in Cabo last November with her sisters, Sophia and Aurora Culpo, and her best friends — including Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 cover model, Brooks Nader.
McCaffrey proposed after nearly four years of dating with a stunning oval-cut engagement ring with side stones designed by New York-based jeweler Ring Concierge.
