Pacers-Knicks pick
The New York Knicks have the opportunity to take a 2-0 series lead Wednesday when they host the Indiana Pacers in Game 2.
New York is favored by 4.5 points on Fanatics Sportsbook, but I don’t have any read on the spread. However, I love the over on the total of 218.5 points.
Game 1 ended with about 20 more points (238) than tonight’s projected total, so why expect such a big drop off? Indiana was one of the best offensive teams all season and that has carried over into the postseason, as the Pacers reached 120 points four times against the Bucks in Round 1 and just scored 117 on the Knicks defense.
And that was with Tyrese Haliburton only scoring six points! Expect him to be better in Game 2.
The Pacers defense also has some holes that can be exploited by Jalen Brunson and New York. Brunson likely won’t have another 40-point game (although you can’t put it past him), but his supporting cast is playing confidently and is very capable of draining big shots.
