Olivia Dunne wows in ‘unbelievable’ floor routine en route to historic LSU win

It’s been a winning weekend for Olivia Dunne and her Lady Tigers teammates.

The LSU gymnast and social media sensation, 21, wowed in an impressive floor routine Friday as the Tigers recorded their highest score in program history with a 198.475-196.200 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Dunne, who had missed two consecutive meets, replaced teammate KJ Johnson in the floor lineup and earned a score of 9.875, matching her season-high.

“Unbelievable what she can do!” a fan remarked on YouTube, where an ESPN video of her floor routine Friday has surpassed 300,000 views.

Another supporter posted, “That’s is absolutely perfection there.”

Although LSU’s final score left many in awe, head coach Jay Clark — who recorded his 100th career victory Friday as head coach — stated his focus is on the overall performance.

“Well, we got better. That’s what this week was about. The focus and the main goal was to get a good performance, a complete performance,” Clark said, according to the team’s website.

“I know everyone wants to talk about the score tonight and that’s great. I do not focus on whether we get a low or high score. It’s about our performance. We did our job tonight and we can do that same performance somewhere else. For us it’s about keeping our eye on the next step ahead of us and just taking it one step at a time.”

The Tigers are now 5-2 overall and will visit Georgia next Friday.

Leading up to her senior season, Dunne — a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model who boasts an NIL valuation of $3.5 million — spoke about savoring the moment in an interview with Elle this past summer.

“I know it’s coming to an end, so I’m trying to take in every single last memory I can, but I’m also excited to see what the future holds,” she said.
